This is our favorite restaurant. The foods are delicious and healthy. The staff are very friendly. My children can memorize the menu . They alway ask to go to this place. Since the foods are good for them, why not ?

This little Vietnamese restaurant is located in a itty bitty shopping plaza right in the suburbs of Elk Grove. The plaza is located within the neighborhood that it is an easy walk or bike ride from neighboring homes.

Me and my lunch mate came on in for lunch on a recent mid Sunday afternoon. The waitress that served was the only one working the front. She took our orders, brought out the food, cleared the table... she did it all with an ease and a great attitude. Lovely smile.  The restaurant was about 1/3 full.

Onto the food...which by the way came out quickly.
I had pho#4 rate streak, well done flank, and soft tendon regular bowl for $7.45. Everything was ok. Hot flavorful broth, noodles, and cooked tender thin sliced meats. I found the ratio of ingredients to be satisfying. I also got a plate with fresh fixings for my pho; basil, lime wedges, and bean sprouts. Very fresh fixings, no brown spots.

Iced Vietnamese coffee was terrific, pure deliciousness. But they serve it already mixed in a glass of ice. That was not an issue for me.

I also ordered a sandwich to go. #1- ham, steamed pork, pate $3.45. I opted for no parsley and jalapeños. I tore into that a few hours later at home. It was delicious! Awesome fresh bread. Flavorful pate. Good quantity of meat for a $3.45 pricing.

Do they have the best ever Vietnamese pho, sandwiches, and rice and noodle plates? Probably not. & it all depends. But hey for me, I liked the food. It was tasty. I also enjoyed the convenience of the location. Not bad for an itty bit restaurant in the burbs of EG. If you live in EG, I would consider yourself fortunate to have this as another restaurant option.

We had a couple of dishes that we thought were enjoyable and others that were not so much so. We ordered the pho with rare beef, which I thought the stock was watered down, and not very flavourful, the meat tasted expired. It might just have been a poor grade of beef, we took it all out to eat the soup. The chicken noodles soup, which was mediocre. I thought chicken soup was a staple in many kitchens and when the broth is stewed with bones and herbed over hours we have a delicious bowl of flavourful soup. This method I doubt was used at this restaurant. We enjoyed the simple tofu fresh rolls, and fried chicken rolls, well made. Lastly, we ordered the Che tri-colour dessert (the only one on the menu). This was a big mistake. This item tasted like simple syrup with coconut milk, with a frozen clump of yellow beans, some sweet red beans, and sweet green coloured flavourless jello. We spoke to someone who worked there (not sure if she was the owner) who came to ask if everything was ok, we mentioned we didn't like the dessert to this person. Her response was "you ordered it, you have to take it, we don't exchange." This was truly disappointing. We love supporting local business, and small businesses, but this left such a sour taste. Poor customer service at a restaurant that serves mediocre food at best is just terrible. I feel this is a fair review because the only good food items were the rolls, and our initial server was very friendly and helpful. My family and I have eaten here a few times previous to this and felt the restaurant was good, but I think they may be cutting down the use of quality ingredients and watered down what was supposed to be a full bodied broth for their soups. The first two pictures I believe I posted on yelp and gave this place 5stars, but this experience and food quality are reflective of the currently state of the restaurant.

My god ! Zero stars ! I really regret coming here and spending my money here . It was such a joke I couldn't believe it . I will never come back that's how bad it was . The biggest issue to me is the portions. It's unbelievable ! I ordered a soup and it literally came with two thin slices of meat . WTF! And I ordered a charbroiled pork rice plate to go and it was literally barely any meat or rice. Also wasn't charbroiled! This place is so so skimpy it's ridiculous. I felt robbed after I left. Seriously someone needs to talk to the dang owner cuz this is really ridiculous

A small little Vietnamese restaurant tucked away in an even smaller plaza.

Was our first time and we were seated by our waitress. Looked around and only two people were dinning in that day.

We got our menu along with water. She gave us enough time to decide.

Food wise: not that bad. The wontons had a different flavor and it's something I'm not use to when I order wonton soup. The boyfriend liked his although wish there was more.

Overall, not a bad place to stop by to grab something to eat. You won't have to wait too long since it's not as busy compare to most pho restaurant.
